Financial Aid Overview
The Harvey Mudd education is an expensive one, and the College is committed to working with families to ensure that a Harvey Mudd education is available to students from all socioeconomic backgrounds. Below are a few key points relating to financial aid at HMC.
Need-blind Admission & Meeting Full Need
- We are need-blind in our admission process for all U.S. citizens and permanent residents, meaning that we make all admission decisions without consideration of a student’s financial need.Â
- We meet 100% of demonstrated need through a combination of scholarships, grants, loans and work study.
There are only a handful of colleges in the country who can say that they are both need blind and meet 100% of demonstrated need, and we are pleased to be one of them.
Approximately 70% of Mudders receive some sort of financial aid and 50% receive need-based financial aid.
