Join students taking a new course “The Game of Democracy: Art, Engineering, Chance, Choice, and Civic Life” as they give a tour of their final projects in the Sprague Gallery. The exhibit will feature student-created “devices of democracy,” which are cross-disciplinary installations, tools, or systems designed to foster more just civic processes.

Come make things! Visit the HMC Makerspace: our 8,000 sq. ft., student-run facility to see where the 7C community comes together to create. Serving over 1,200 members annually, the Makerspace provides the tools and resources for everything from high-tech electronics to 3-D printing and sewing and mending tools. Faculty, staff and student stewards will be on hand to answer questions. Brief remarks will be made about halfway through the event. Note: Please be cautious of student projects in the Makerspace.

无忧视频鈥檚 Jude and Eileen Laspa Machine Shop offers opportunities for students to turn ideas into reality. Visit the HMC machine shop, hear from our stewards, and if you haven’t been down there in awhile, be amazed at the large windows! Note: Close-toed shoes are required. Please be cautious of student projects in the machine shop area. Students will be working on their final projects of the semester, so if you are unsure if something you see is being worked-on or not, please do not touch.

We know some alumni haven’t been to campus for a while, so we are offering a special campus tour for members of our 50th Reunion (1976) and any members of our 50+ alumni group (1959-1975). The tour led by current HMC students will give you insights into the new buildings and current campus dynamic in a quick 1-hour tour through the academic end of campus.

Harvey Mudd鈥檚 Innovation Accelerator Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence (IAL-AI) advance a human-centered approach to AI through hands-on prototyping, responsible software development and interdisciplinary teaching. Hear from the three projects that were selected for seed funding, reflecting the creativity, rigor and ethical responsibility that define Harvey Mudd鈥檚 mission and its thoughtful leadership during a pivotal moment for technology and society.
