Scheduling and Wages
To ensure that school remains the top priority for students, your on-campus employment is subject to a few regulations:
- Maximum 8 hours of work in one day.
- Maximum 20 hours of work per week.
- Work only one job at a time. For example, grading while covering a desk shift is not allowed.
- No working during scheduled class times.
- No working six or seven consecutive days in a single workweek.
- No exceeding your annual Harvey Mudd Work offer. Contact us if you鈥檙e close to reaching your limit.
If you were offered Harvey Mudd Work, it is important to keep track of the number of hours you work. Over the school year, you may not earn more than your maximum earning limit as reflected on your Financial Aid Award Offer. Once you earn the amount you were offered, you must stop working under Harvey Mudd Work immediately. If you work for more than one department, you must coordinate your hours to ensure you do not go over the limit.
If you want to continue working after exceeding your award amount, you must contact the Office of Financial Aid to determine if you are eligible for additional Harvey Mudd Work funds. If you earn more than your Harvey Mudd Work offer, the extra amount you earned may be deducted from your other financial aid, including scholarships.
