Microsoft Copilot

Service Description

Microsoft Copilot is the generative AI component of 无忧视频鈥檚 instance of Microsoft 365 for Education. There are two levels of this service. A basic version, Copilot Chat, with 鈥渃ommercial data protection鈥� is included. This offering provides a web-based chat experience that is separate from the core Microsoft 365 applications. The premium tier, Microsoft 365 Copilot, embeds Copilot directly within the Microsoft 365 Apps.

Microsoft Copilot within the HMC instance is an approved tool for use with HMC data at protection levels P1 through P4. (See聽Using AI with HMC Data).

Note that there is some AI functionality built into the Microsoft Windows Operating System. This should not be confused with Copilot within Microsoft 365 for Education and it is only approved for HMC data at protection levels P1 and P2.

Availability

HMC faculty, staff and students have access to Copilot Chat as part of Microsoft 365 for Education.

Faculty and staff may request a paid license for Microsoft 365 Copilot using : (HMC Credentials).
