CS Researchers Win Best Paper at ICAART

无忧视频 computer science professor George Monta帽ez and his students Julius Lauw 鈥20, Dominique Macias 鈥19, Akshay Trikha 鈥21 and Julia Vendemiatti 鈥21 won the Best Paper award at the 12th International Conference on Agents and Artificial Intelligence (ICAART 2020) for 鈥.鈥
The paper, one of three that Monta帽ez and students from his lab presented at the conference, proves a set of results showing the trade-off between bias and expressivity (flexibility). of 鈥淭he Bias-Expressivity Trade-off鈥 on YouTube.
Since 2019, Monta帽ez and his students have turned their research of theoretical machine learning, probability, statistics and search into multiple publications and presentations. The article CS Researchers Present Findings on Machine Learning, Algorithms has links to all the publications.
ICAART 2020 had just a 16% acceptance rate for full papers. The Best Paper award is the first for Monta帽ez鈥檚 research lab at Harvey Mudd and his fifth conference award overall.
