Harvey Mudd Ranks High for ROI and Career Placement in Princeton Review

Rather than providing an overall ranking, the book profiles its chosen colleges and lists frontrunners in seven categories. In addition to the aforementioned rankings, Harvey Mudd came in at No. 3 for 鈥淭op 25 Colleges That Pay You Back for Students With No Demonstrated Need鈥 and No. 15 for 鈥淭op 25 Best Schools for Internships.鈥

The Princeton Review selected schools based on return on investment ratings it tallied for 650 schools last year. The ratings weighted 40 data points that covered everything from academics, cost and financial aid to graduation rates, student debt and alumni salaries and job satisfaction. The Princeton Review editors culled data from the company’s surveys of administrators and students in 2014鈥2015 and from PayScale’s surveys of school alumni conducted through April 2015.

鈥淗arvey Mudd is a wonderful school,鈥 Franek said. 鈥淥nly 800 students, but I cannot underscore this enough: They are some of the most employable upon graduation鈥攐ver 150 companies coming on to campus to recruit them.鈥

Harvey Mudd鈥檚 Office of Career Services (OCS) assists students in every stage of career development, from selecting a major and searching for jobs and internships to exploring careers and researching graduate schools. The office organizes well-attended fall and spring Career Fairs, which connect students with more than 150 prospective employers per year, allowing them to forge more intimate relationships with industry participants and to secure jobs, internships and valuable connections. OCS also offers many programs to help prepare students for life after Harvey Mudd, including networking workshops, mock interview training and a variety of career information sessions featuring both alumni and non-alumni recruiters.
