无忧视频 attracts some of the most promising students in the world, and its incoming Class of 2016 continues that tradition.
The 199 first-years boast stellar academics and unique achievements such as raising award-winning carnivorous plants, setting the entire U.S. history to music, and coaching a middle school science Olympiad team.
鈥淭he Class is full of remarkably talented individuals,鈥 said Thyra Briggs, vice president of admission and financial aid. 鈥淲e were impressed by both their achievement and their clear appreciation of the mission and community of the College. We are excited for the rest of the community to meet them.鈥
The College received 3,596 applications, representing a 14 percent increase over the previous year鈥檚 applications. More than 600 applicants received acceptance letters and, of those, 199 committed to the Class of 2016.

Ninety-six percent of the incoming first-years ranked in the top 10 percent of their graduating high school class (among schools that rank their students); 35 percent served as either valedictorian or salutatorian.
