LIFETIME RECOGNITION AWARDS
Additionally, the AABoG will present Lifetime Recognition Awards to four individuals.

Walt ’69 and Csilla Foley- The Foley's service to HMC has been long and meaningful. As the parents of Steven '99, their connection to HMC has grown deeper and they are active in supporting the College's activities in the San Diego area as well as the Bates Aeronautical Program. While Walt has been honored with HMC's Order of the Wart in 1994 and the Outstanding Alumni Award in 2008 in recognition of his contributions to technology and the community at large, it is fitting that they are both recognized for their lifelong loyalty to HMC. Walt was the alumni representative to the Board of Trustees from 1982 to 1985 and became a full trustee in 1991. Walt is currently vice chair of the board. Walt, along with Csilla, was HMC’s first alumnus to make a $1 million gift to the College in January 2000. His gift led several other alumni to come forward and give at the same level. Together with Rick Sontag '64 and Bruce Worster '64, he helped fundraise for the Aviation Room of the Hoch/Shanahan Dining Hall, and authored countless letters for the Alumni Fund.

John and Nelly Kilroy- Emeritus Trustee John “Jim” B Kilroy, Sr. served on the HMC Board of Trustees from 1980 to 1998. He was involved with the Development Committee, Physical Plant and Campus Planning Committee, and Chair of the Founding Friends Committee (membership consists of early supporters of the College). The Kilroy's have been ardent supporters of the College, providing annual gifts to the President’s Scholarship Program and creating the John B. and Nelly Llanos Kilroy Scholarship Fund and the John B. and Nelly Llanos Kilroy Endowed Scholarship in 2006.

Elise Mudd Marvin (posthumously)-  Elise Mudd Marvin, niece of Harvey S. Mudd, for whom the college was named when founded in 1955, gave generously to the college for nearly 40 years, providing support totaling more than $1 million. Beginning in 1989, she began supporting the Elise Mudd Marvin Annual Scholarship that has resulted in 47 students receiving 94 scholarships since then. In 1998 she helped organize a reunion where more than 130 Mudd family members (including four of her own children and six grandchildren) celebrated the college that bears the name they share. Mudd Marvin died in 2009.

Esteban Sandoval- A maintenance mechanic in the Office of Facilities and Maintenance, Esteban (Steve) Sandoval celebrates 41 years at 无忧视频 in 2011. His hard work and longevity were rewarded in 1998 when he received the Mary Binder Prize, which celebrates outstanding staf members. His supervisor, Theresa Potter, assistant vice president for facilties and maintenance said, "He is a man of integrity, generosity and kindness."
