Below are a few key points relating to financial aid at HMC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Need-blind Admission &amp; Meeting Full Need<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We are need-blind in our admission process for all U.S. citizens and permanent residents, meaning that we make all admission decisions without consideration of a student\u2019s financial need.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We meet 100% of demonstrated need through a combination of scholarships, grants, loans and work study.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>There are only a handful of colleges in the country who can say that they are both need blind and meet 100% of demonstrated need, and we are pleased to be one of them.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Approximately 70% of Mudders receive some sort of financial aid and 50% receive need-based financial aid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Applying for Financial Aid<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Need-based financial aid<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (<a href=\"http:\/\/fafsa.gov\/\">FAFSA<\/a>) and the <a href=\"http:\/\/cssprofile.org\/\">CSS Profile<\/a>. Harvey Mudd is committed to meeting 100% of a student\u2019s demonstrated financial need as demonstrated through the information on these forms. Deadlines will vary according to application plan (Early Decision vs. Regular Decision).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Merit-based financial aid<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Harvey Mudd offers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hmc.edu\/admission\/afford\/scholarships-and-grants\/merit-based-scholarships\/\">several merit awards<\/a> and most don\u2019t require a separate application. Most merit awards are $10,000 per year, renewable for up to four years. Only three of our merit scholarships require applications. All students are considered for the others.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">International Students<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Harvey Mudd provides financial support for a limited number of full-time enrolled students each year.
